Introducing Geldeston Village Park home to Let's Play 2021!

Geldeston Parish Council propose to expand the playground and have a new exiting plan to commence this year. The ethos of Geldeston Village Park is to provide recreational amenities for all ages and abilities to benefit community wellbeing,

demonstrated as essential with effects of the pandemic. Our intention is to invest in a brighter, healthier future for everyone.

The project will consist of a 2 phased approach. Let's Play 2021! will have a 3 phase approach in establishing its new playground.

As promised to the community the first part of the installation will be the play equipment which caters for 2-12yr olds within the fenced area. During this phase on the upper field goal nets to be put on the football goals, to install an outdoor table tennis with thanks to Ping England for their support.

The second phase we would like to install a Basket Ball court (subject to planning agreement for the concrete strip), 2 Boule Courts, and to include the Dorothy Crowfoot Sensory Garden as a tribute to the first woman to get Nobel Prize from Geldeston. This shall be a predominantly blue garden to symbolise her story.

The vision is a place for communities to come together, socialise, play and relax. The emphasis on physical and mental wellbeing which is vital to everybody.
